In 2006 whilst working as a Theatre Arts Instructor at a W.A. Primary School, Fran Brereton was approached by the local council to create a program to assist and encourage both children and parents alike to feel OK about speaking out when they have been confronted with an incident of assault or if they are aware of any form of abuse that may be affecting either themselves or some one else, even if the perpetrator is some one they know. This initiative of the local council came as a result of an assault that took place near the school grounds and as the perpetrator was known to local residents many people were reluctant to speak out.

From the moment Fran began working on the concept of Mega MADI Super Star she knew that she had stepped onto a new path in her life. One that would become a life long work in progress.  So was born Mega MADI Super Star and The MADI Project.
